The late Sri. G. R. Govindarajulu, Founder of GRG Trust, following the footsteps of his illustrious parents, started a high school for girls in 1956 in Peelamedu, Coimbatore. It had a growing popularity in this area and it was the earnest desire of all the distinguished visitors and the public that the school should blossom into a full-fledged college for women. Thus PSGR Krishnammal College for Women was started on 28th June 1963 under the auspices of the GRG Trust, with Sri G.R. Govindarajulu
